Having spent four years with my previous trainer (who immigrated) I was reluctant to look for someone else. However, a friend was having sessions with Nav Heer and encouraged me to make contact with him. My introduction included height/weight, blood pressure, my eating habits, whether I had any injuries and what were my expectations. Nav fully explained his ethos and his passion around healthy eating, exercise and the importance of Sleep. It became clear to me that this was a man who knew the importance of a healthy life style and practiced what he preached. Nav’s Physiological knowledge of the body is impressive. At times he will explain the muscle group that we are exercising and the importance of a whole body workout. He has wall charts explaining the different muscle groups and how they support the body. His gym is well equipped with every apparatus you would possibly need. From machines to work the whole body, to bikes, rowing machine, weights, benches etc. Each week he has an agenda of what he wants to cover and his expectations of what I am capable of doing. This ranges from lifting weights, cycling, rowing, boxing etc. He keeps in mind what we covered the week before and how/when to push or encourage me do more. His belief and encouragement means that I feel stretched and becoming a stronger person not only physically but mentally too. Nav has a holistic approach to life which is evident in his passion around Health and Fitness. He enquiries how I have slept, what I have been eating, what exercise I complete in between our sessions. He emphasises the importance of fresh air, rest and play.
